So Far...

First off, apologies for not having posted anything sooner. We have been busy looking for motorbikes and the Backers, our wonderful hosts in Pretoria, have also been keeping us busy! What have we done?

On Saturday the Backers took us to a friendly USA vs Australia match. The final score was 3-1 to the US. For me, it was choosing the lesser of two evils. The English don't get along too well with the Ozzies and when it comes to football I could never imagine myself cheering on another nation. Though, as our hosts are from the US, I quietly hoped their team would win.

On Sunday the Backers arranged for Luke and I along with their daughter, Carolina, to help at a US open practice session. It was in aid of several charities, orphanages and NGO's. About three to four hundred kids piled in to buses from all around the area and arrived at the stadium. It was our job to co-ordinate the handing out of food, t-shirts and horns (they call them VuvuZelas here, however you spell that). The event was followed by a meet and greet with all the US players on the pitch.

That was our weekend, well and truly accomplished. It feels like we've already been here for some time. Infact, I am tempted to stay in PTA, it is quite the bustling town with many lively restaurants and such.
